SKINSTAR
LASER TATTOO REMOVAL
Because the number of treatments varies so much from person to person, we offer pay as you go pricing instead of selling a big package of several treatments up front. Many people overestimate the area of their tattoo. We don’t charge you for blank areas of skin mixed in with your tattoo. We also charge you only for the portion of your tattoo that remains as you go through the removal process

Q-switched YAG laser
At Skinstar, we use the most advanced Q-switched YAG laser to remove tattoos safely and effectively. The laser beam is directed at the tattooed area for a fraction of a second, passing harmlessly through the outer layer of the skin and targeting the tattoo ink directly. The laser energy breaks down the ink into particles small enough to be absorbed naturally. The scavenger cells (macrophages) of the lymphatic system then remove the ink molecules from the body.
Laser tattoo removal has been described as feeling like a rubber band snapping on the skin, or the same feeling as getting a tattoo. At Skinstar, we numb the area before treatment with a special blend anesthetic cream. The Zimmer Cryo 6 cooling system is the finest available for laser tattoo removal. We cool the skin before, during and after the procedure, reducing pain and assuring the most comfortable experience possible.
The process of getting rid of a tattoo is not immediate. After the first treatment, the ink that was exposed to the laser will break down and be removed by your body’s immune system over a period of 4 to 8 weeks. Once that process is complete, you can come in for your next treatment, repeating the process until the tattoo is gone. Some colors are harder to target and require more sessions. The black and darker colors are easier to target and will fade first. Black, red, dark orange, and dark blue are relatively easy to target. Green, purple, brown, light orange, and light blue will take more treatments.
How many treatments required to get rid of a tattoo depends on a variety of factors such as: skin tone, age of tattoo, colors in the tattoo, type of ink used, and depth of tattoo. To remove a tattoo normally takes from 4 to 6 treatments but can be anywhere from 2 to 12.
The chance of scarring is less than 5% if you follow after care instructions. The risk of scarring can increase with pregnancy, dark skin tone, poor circulation, immune system deficiencies, taking Accutane, some health conditions, certain medications, or having a history of keloids or elevated scarring
